OVERVIEW
Growth Planning is a structured process designed to envision, assess, and plan the operational infrastructure that supports your creative practice or business. In this 15-week workshop, participants are introduced to growth planning, an 8-part process for the intentional and ongoing evolution of the parallel practice: all of the operational infrastructure that supports your creative practice or business and helps you bring it into public view. The workshop combines instructional meetings, co-working sessions, and independent work, providing a structured, affirmative environment to build or renew a sustainable growth plan. By embracing growth planning as an ongoing practice, you can reduce overwhelm; improve focus and results; make values-driven decisions; and stay aligned with what’s most meaningful in your work.
APPROACH
Inspired by conventional strategic planning, our growth planning process is adapted for artists, art workers, and creative micro-businesses. The Continuous Project point of view emphasizes emergence, creativity, flexibility, and freedom within structure. As a practice, growth planning enriches your work and evolves with you over time, organizing your parallel practice for self-determined growth.
FRAMEWORK
The format is intentionally modular and open-ended, allowing the process to yield a personalized document or set of documents specific to your work and needs. You can revisit individual workbooks or the entire process over time, integrating growth planning into the ongoing cycles of your parallel practice.
FORMAT
8 workshop meetings via zoom: Bi-monthly instructional meetings include overviews of each of the 8 areas of growth planning, including time for Q&A and discussion
7 co-working meetings via zoom: Bi-monthly co-working sessions begin with 15 minutes of Q&A and discussion, followed by 45 minutes of quiet co-working time to stay accountable to ourselves, each other, and our work
Participants can expect approximately 2-4 hours of independent work between meetings, depending on the scope of your planning
ASSETS
Digital workbooks for each of the 8 areas of growth planning
Recordings of the 8 workshop meetings will be available for 6 months (through March 3, 2025)
Community forum for sharing resources
A supportive group environment for structured, affirmative growth

New growth planners: $1500 (payment accepted in 1-3 installments)
Returning growth planners: $500
All 2024 growth planners will have access to a reduced fee for private consulting for 6 months
